NEWS Certificate of Appreciation Recently, Mike’s Sanitation, Inc. was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from The Stillwater Watershed Project. This certificate was in recognition of M.S.I.’s contribution to the 2008 Septic System Lawn Care Workshop held on April 8, 2008 at Bruckner Nature Center. The workshop was presented by The Stillwater Watershed Project, The Darke and Miami Soil and Water Conservation Districts, the Ohio State University Extension and the Darke and Miami County Health Districts. The workshop was held in an effort to educate the public on the importance of proper septic system maintenance and lawn care. If you have any questions concerning the Stillwater Watershed Project, please contact Greg McGlinch with the Darke-Miami County Soil and Water Conservation District at 937-548-1715 Ext. 3. M.S.I. was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this informative, educational workshop.
Spring is here! Spring is an excellent time to schedule pumping of your septic system. If it has been awhile since you’ve had it done, call to schedule your appointment now to avoid costly repair or replacement of your septic system. We can not stress enough the importance of regularly scheduled septic system pumping. As a courtesy to our customers, we can include you on our reminder list. We will send you a reminder at the interval you choose to let you know it is time to schedule your next septic system pump out. Septic systems are very expensive to replace, so have your septic system pumped out regularly to protect your investment. When you call, ask about our neighbor discounts. With the recent break in the weather, many of us are starting our lawn maintenance and landscaping projects. When doing your landscaping projects, be sure to avoid disturbing the septic tank and absorption field. Do not plant trees and shrubs over the septic tank or drain field since the water seeking roots of these plants can damage your septic system. You will also want to avoid any heavy tire traffic over your septic tank and absorption field. Excess weight crossing these areas can damage the absorption field and the tank itself. |
